please read ALL 3 parts: PART 1 : 🧠 REAL QUESTION — no sarcasm, no shade. I genuinely want to know how people think about this.
We hear all the time that influencers influence people.
Creators can influence what people watch, want, buy, normalize, participate in, and even how audiences behave.
Okay. I agree.
But does that influence work both ways? Can viewers also “train” the creator?
Think about this:
A creator puts together a special show as a genuine thank-you to their community. It is completely free. No admission. No purchase required. Everyone is welcome.
They put extra time into it. They dress differently, perform, entertain, plan things, maybe even show far more of themselves than they normally would.
Nobody tips.
Then the community reaches a major milestone and the creator delivers the big celebration/reward they promised everyone.
Again, nobody tips.
Then there’s a completely free follower appreciation party. Followers themselves don't directly pay the creator anything—the party is simply being thrown as a thank-you for being there.
The creator performs, shows their body, gets up close, entertains, puts in the extra effort and gives everybody the special experience.
Again: no tips.

I always try my best to create content, clips, photos, videos, and extras that you genuinely enjoy and want to see more of. Since I send a lot of bonus/free content across Joystick, Discord DMs, and other areas, the main feedback I have to guide future creations is engagement on the posts themselves. 💕
If a piece of content receives no like or interaction after about a week or so, I generally assume it just wasn’t your vibe or something you were interested in seeing more of, and I may remove it from feeds/messages to keep things cleaner and more focused on the content everyone enjoys most.

PART3: Not because anyone is required to tip. They aren't.
Not because anyone owes a creator money for showing up. They don't.
I'm talking strictly about behavior, reinforcement and incentives.
If increased effort repeatedly receives no increased response, does the audience eventually teach the entertainer that the increased effort has no value to that audience?
And if so, when that entertainer eventually stops providing the extras for free…
did the creator suddenly change, or did they simply adapt to the feedback their audience had been giving them all along?
I genuinely want to hear how other people's brains process this, because I think we talk A LOT about how creators influence viewers—and nowhere near enough about how viewers influence creators. 🧡
Not because anyone owes a creator money for showing up. They don't.

And if so, when that entertainer eventually stops providing the extras for free…

If I am the entertainer receiving that feedback over and over, what is my brain eventually supposed to learn from it?
Because if I can put my ass, boobs and body on screen, perform, work harder, give you the special show—and receive $0…
…and I can sit comfortably in my chair, completely covered, doing substantially less—and also receive $0…
from the creator's perspective, what incentive has the audience given me to choose the first option?
The financial result is identical.
So wouldn't the logical lesson eventually become:
“If both versions of me produce the same financial response, I might as well choose the version that requires less from me.”
And THAT is what I'm curious about.
We talk about creators training their audiences all the time.
Do audiences realize that their behavior can train creators, too?
